Fette Compacting

Efficiency for pharmaceuticals and nutrition.

In pharmaceutical and food production, demands for efficiency, flexibility, and process reliability continue to rise. Fette Compacting is a leading provider of integrated solutions across the entire production process—from tablet presses and tooling to process equipment, services, training, and consulting.

Together with Fette Compacting, Consulteer supported the further development of machine concepts and user experience with the goal of sustainably improving productivity and usability.

Rethinking Tablet Production.

The central challenge was to align the physical reality of tablet production with a clearly structured digital user interface. The objective was to increase process reliability and efficiency while establishing a modern design and significantly improving the user experience.

A particular focus was placed on challenging the widespread assumption that production performance depends primarily on machine size. Instead, new standards were set for ergonomics, accessibility, and interaction.

In close collaboration with Fette Compacting, design and usability standards were developed that consistently integrate physical and digital aspects.

Human–Machine Interaction by Design.

Using an innovative manufacturing process, the FE 75 model features seamless, rounded contours and a clear, reduced design language. Light edges give the tablet press a sense of visual lightness, while precise lines emphasize its robustness.

The FE series was specifically optimized for productivity, flexibility, and accessibility. Operators can produce more than 90 percent of standard tablet types without extensive retooling.

The design allows for easy disassembly and cleaning. The use of FDA-compliant high-performance plastics in the machine housing reduces vibration and noise, improving working conditions in the production environment.

Sustainable Impact in Daily Operations.

More than twelve years after its market launch, the FE series continues to shape pharmaceutical production. Lightweight components improve handling during assembly and significantly simplify cleaning processes.

A consistently accessible design strengthens interaction between humans and machines. Visual lighting elements provide immediate feedback on machine and production status.

The user interface reduces complexity through clearly structured interaction flows. It supports situationally appropriate operation, increases safety, and improves the overall user experience when monitoring and controlling machines.

At Consulteer, we combine empathy for user needs with a hands-on approach to turn visions into market-ready solutions.
